...MAJOR PATTERN CHANGE APPROACHING WITH SIGNIFICANT MONSOON
MOISTURE STARTING MONDAY AND INTENSIFYING TUESDAY...

.DISCUSSION...
A significant push of monsoon moisture is inbound from the
south...but the main impacts of this will largely hold south of
the fire for one more day. Expect just slightly cooler
temperatures, slightly higher humidity, and slightly more cloud
cover compared to Saturday, with a 10 percent chance of an
isolated shower or thunderstorm after about 3 PM. We do note that
the latest round of high-resolution models want to keep
thunderstorms all further south today, so confidence on a storm
making it north of the Big Holes is very low. IF a storm or
convective virga develops near the fire, the airmass will continue
to support dry-leaning characteristics with lightning and gusty
winds the main hazards. Moisture surges northward starting Monday
with shower and thunderstorm chances starting to trend wetter and
more toward scattered coverage. Starting Tuesday and continuing
onward, there will be a 70 to 90 percent chance of rain over the
fire with over 1 inch of rainfall possible by Thursday, humidity
never dropping below 50 percent, and much cooler temperatures.
