While a few rain or snow showers are possible at almost any time today, GENERALLY we are expecting a break in the action over the burn area, and multi-hour dry periods are likely. The chance of rain and snow showers will trend higher again overnight as we approach daybreak Saturday morning, with widespread snow returning by sunrise. High resolution models differ again on exact timing of everything, but they do show some consensus that snow will be steadier and more widespread during the morning, before breaking up and becoming more showery during the afternoon. Temperatures will be close, but precipitation type should be mostly snow or all snow from sunrise Saturday onward. A weak cold front will help shift winds from south-southeast into more of the southwest by Saturday afternoon. Looking ahead, Sunday will trend much drier as another break between components of this overall weather system arrives for a 36 to 48 hour period. .TODAY...
