A line of storms crossed the region on the evening of Wednesday, June 26. A portion of this line resulted in significant wind damage in the Kidder Township Area of Lake Harmony. .Kidder Township Downburst... Peak Wind /E/: 100-110 mph Path Length /statute/: 0.9 miles Path Width /maximum/: 350 yards Fatalities: 0 Injuries: 0 Start Date: June 26, 2024 Start Time: 6:46 PM EDT Start Location: 0.5 SW Lake Harmony / Carbon County / PA Start Lat/Lon: 41.052 / -75.607 End Date: June 26, 2024 End Time: 6:48 PM EDT End Location: Lake Harmony / Carbon County / PA End Lat/Lon: 41.056 / -75.592 Survey Summary: Path of snapped and uprooted trees began on Chalet Court. Along Chalet Court and Lupine Drive from Chalet to Spring Street snapped and uprooted trees caused damage to nearby residences including damage to sheds and porch railings. Near the intersection of Lupine Drive and Spring Street, at least 10 trees were either uprooted or snapped in a wooded lot. Additional trees were uprooted along Pineknoll Drive. More sporadic tree damage, including large limbs felled, was noted along the loop of Skye Drive.
