...FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 9 PM EDT THIS EVENING
FOR CENTRAL CHESTER COUNTY...

At 535 PM EDT, local law enforcement reported thunderstorms
producing heavy rain with water rescues in Coatesville. Between 1.5
and 2.5 inches of rain have fallen. The expected rainfall rate is 2
to 3 inches in 1 hour. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches
are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is already occurring.

HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

SOURCE...Law enforcement reported.

IMPACT...Flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas,
         highways, streets, and underpasses as well as other
         drainage and low lying areas.

Some locations that may experience flash flooding include...
  Phoenixville, Coatesville, Downingtown, Honey Brook, Glenmoore,
  Lionville, Lionville-Marchwood, Chester Springs, Paoli, Malvern,
  South Coatesville and Thorndale.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around...don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most
flood deaths occur in vehicles.

Move to higher ground now. Act quickly to protect your life.
