.DISCUSSION...A system approaching the region today will produce a
slight chance of thunderstorms this afternoon and evening across
the mountains of central and eastern OR, and again Wednesday
across eastern OR mountains. A cold front passage tomorrow will
also result in strong winds developing through the Cascade gaps
into the Columbia Basin. RHs will improve tomorrow afternoon into
the 20s and low 30s, with further improvement Thursday as temps
cool. Overnight recovery will be moderate to excellent.

***Thunderstorms imply strong gusty winds***
***Winds are 20 foot 10 minute averages***
***CWR-chance of wetting rain 0.10 or greater***
***Ventilation Index is derived from the
transport wind multiplied by the mixing
height in 100`s of feet. Index categories
are a generalized indicator and users are
encourage to develop criteria that are
   suitable and representative of dispersion
conditions in their local area of interest.***
Note: Max transport winds may not occur
at the same time as max mixing height.
