Fire Weather Planning Forecast for NE Oregon and SE Washington
National Weather Service Pendleton OR
144 PM PDT Fri May 16 2025

.DISCUSSION...Tonight, an incoming system will bring showers to
the region, with a 10-15% chance of thunderstorms in central and
east-central Oregon. Saturday, area-wide showers will continue
with a 15-30% chance of thunderstorms as well. The best chances
of wetting rains will be in the mountains. By Saturday night and
Sunday, showers will be mostly confined to the mountains. Winds
will increase in magnitude Saturday afternoon, with stronger winds
Sunday.

***Thunderstorms imply strong gusty winds***
***Winds are 20 foot 10 minute averages***
***CWR-chance of wetting rain 0.10 or greater***
***Ventilation Index is derived from the
transport wind multiplied by the mixing
height in 100`s of feet. Index categories
are a generalized indicator and users are
encourage to develop criteria that are
   suitable and representative of dispersion
conditions in their local area of interest.***
Note: Max transport winds may not occur
at the same time as max mixing height.
