.DISCUSSION...Upper level ridging and surface high pressure has
infiltrated into the area from the west, allowing warming and
drying conditions to persist through Friday under clear to mostly
clear skies. West northwest winds will stay breezy through the
remainder of the workweek as a result of a consistent pressure
gradient parked along the Cascades. Winds are expected to peak
Thursday afternoon and evening with sustained winds of 20 to 25
mph and gusts of 30 to 35 mph in portions of the Gorge and the
Kittitas Valley. However, there are not fire weather concerns in
these areas as humidities stay above critical values.
