.DISCUSSION...Extreme Heat Warnings are active across much of the
Columbia Basin and Central Oregon through Tuesday as an upper
level ridge of high pressure is present over the area. A system
will approach the area Tuesday and Wednesday, increasing winds and
critical fire conditions - especially across Central Oregon.
OR696, OR698, and OR703 are the primary zones of concern, likely
reaching red flag criteria Wednesday. The weather patterns turns
more progressive over the latter half of the week. A strong upper
level trough will park itself off the British Columbia coast,
allowing flow aloft to become more from the southwest and
humidities to improve through the weekend.
