Fire Weather Planning Forecast for NE Oregon and SE Washington
National Weather Service Pendleton OR
242 PM PDT Sat Oct 11 2025

.DISCUSSION...

Light west to southwest winds will turn easterly Sunday night
and increase through Monday morning. Weakening of the easterly
wind is expected Monday afternoon. Expect a dramatic ramp up in
chances for wetting rains/snows Sunday evening, going from around
30 percent in the afternoon to 90 percent for the period beginning
Sunday evening through Monday morning. Precipitation type will
likely fall as snow above 4,500 ft. Rain showers will continue to
linger across the lower elevations through Monday.

***Winds are 20 foot 10 minute averages***
***CWR-chance of wetting rain 0.10 or greater***
***Ventilation Index is derived from the
transport wind multiplied by the mixing
height in 100`s of feet. Index categories
are a generalized indicator and users are
encourage to develop criteria that are
   suitable and representative of dispersion
conditions in their local area of interest.***
Note: Max transport winds may not occur
at the same time as max mixing height.
