Fire Weather Planning Forecast for NE Oregon and SE Washington
National Weather Service Pendleton OR
211 PM PDT Wed Oct 15 2025

.DISCUSSION...A weather system will bring breezy west to
northwest winds through the Cascade gaps and into the Columbia
Basin both Thursday and Friday; while localized overlap of
wind/low RH criteria may be met (50 percent confidence) in the
Kittitas Valley on Friday, no widespread Red Flag conditions are
anticipated. The next chance of widespread precipitation and
breezy winds will be with a stronger weather system that is slated
to arrive late Saturday into the weekend.

***Winds are 20 foot 10 minute averages***
***CWR-chance of wetting rain 0.10 or greater***
***Ventilation Index is derived from the
transport wind multiplied by the mixing
height in 100`s of feet. Index categories
are a generalized indicator and users are
encourage to develop criteria that are
   suitable and representative of dispersion
conditions in their local area of interest.***
Note: Max transport winds may not occur
at the same time as max mixing height.
