Bennese/90 && PREV DISCUSSION... /issued 227 PM PDT Wed Aug 27 2025/ DISCUSSION...The monsoonal moisture will continue affecting our forecast area, fueling isolated thunderstorms across the WA Cascades and eastern mountains through this evening with mainly showers over the lowlands. Majority of the forecast area will have light precip with the mountain areas expecting localized heavy rainfall (30-40% chance). Based on the HREF 4-hr prob of thunder, there is also a 30- 50% chance for thunder to develop this afternoon over the Deschutes County and portions of Crook County. That said, CG lightning will be the main threat for today`s weather. Lingering haze may prevail across the lowlands through overnight from plumes of smoke from the fires over Idaho panhandle. Tomorrow, these storms will then tamper off northeastward outside of our area, leaving light showers behind over the WA Cascades and portions of the Wallowas. Thunderstorms may develop across these aforementioned areas in the afternoon hours, but chances are slight (<30%). We also may see RHs gradually decrease tomorrow as well starting over the southern part of Deschutes County, along with Crook County. By Friday, our forecast area should be relatively dry with RHs lowering again mainly to the 20s, though in the teens over Crook County. However with the low pressure system off the OR coast, the weak upslope flow will push light showers across Kittitas Valley over the weekend during morning hours (15-30% chance). Sunday afternoon onwards, the PacNW should remain dry. Winds will be mainly light with occasional breezes today through early next week. Feaster/97 && .PRELIMINARY POINT TEMPS/POPS...
