...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 7 PM EST FRIDAY...

* WHAT...Snow expected. Total snow accumulations between 3 and 6
  inches. Winds gusting as high as 35 mph.

* WHERE...Forest, Mercer, and Venango Counties.

* WHEN...Until 7 PM EST Friday.

* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult. The hazardous conditions
  will impact the Thursday morning and evening commutes.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Scattered snow showers will become more
  numerous later today into Friday. Lake effect snow bands are also
  expected to develop late today into Friday, which will create low
  visibility and hazardous travel conditions. There is a potential
  for locally higher snowfall amounts under persistent snow bands,
  and an upgrade to a Lake Effect Snow Warning may be needed if this
  occurs.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Slow down and use caution while traveling. The latest road conditions
can be obtained by calling 5 1 1.

Be prepared for slippery roads. Slow down and use caution while
driving. If you are going outside, watch your first few steps taken
on stairs, sidewalks, and driveways. These surfaces could be icy and
slippery, increasing your risk of a fall and injury.

Please report snow or ice accumulations by calling 412-262-1988,
posting to the NWS Pittsburgh Facebook page, or using X
@NWSPittsburgh.
