********* PITTSBURGH MONTHLY SUMMARY **********

The Pittsburgh PA climate summary for the month  of June, 2025.  The
maximum temperature for the period was 94.  The record maximum
temperature is 98 degrees which was last set in 1988.  The minimum
temperature for the period was 40.  The record minimum temperature
is 34 degrees which was set in 1972.  The average temperature was
73.1 degrees which is 3.7 degrees above the normal average
temperature of 69.4 degrees.  The maximum temperature exceeded 90
degrees on 5 days this period.  The minimum temperature did not fall
below 32 degrees.  A total of 5.57 inches of precipitation fell
during the period which is 1.45 inches above the normal amount of
4.12.  There were 20 heating degree days this period which is 10
below the normal amount of 30 days.  There were 271 cooling degree
days this period which is 111 above the normal amount of 160 days.
The maximum wind was 37 miles per hour from the west and occurred on
June 19.  The maximum wind gust was 45 miles per hour from the west
and occurred on June 19.
