.Discussion...
Cold, dry advection within northwest flow will drop area
temperature below seasonal averages overnight. Northwest wind is
expected to lighten but remain mixed overnight, especially in
terrain locations.
Ridge building aloft and surface high pressure traversing the area
will support rising temperature through Tuesday. The combination
of above normal temperature and a drying air mass may lead to
marginal fire weather conditions Monday as daytime minimum
humidities could fall to the 20 to 30 percent range while wind
remains on the lighter side.
Moist advection will increase Monday night into Tuesday as an
approaching cold front provides an opportunity for showers and
thunderstorms Tuesday afternoon.
