AS HIGH PRESSURE SHIFTS EAST OF THE REGION AND SOUTHERLY WINDS
INCREASE, THE ONGOING BITTER COLD ACROSS THE REGION WILL MODERATE
SLIGHTLY THROUGH THURSDAY. A DRY POLAR COLD FRONT WILL BRING
ANOTHER BRIEF SHOT OF ARCTIC AIR ON FRIDAY AS WELL. A WARMING
TREND WILL START ON SATURDAY, AND TEMPERATURES WILL RETURN TO NEAR
NORMAL VALUES BY EARLY NEXT WEEK. A DISTURBANCE WILL PASS TO OUR
SOUTH SUNDAY INTO MONDAY, BRINGING A CHANCE OF VERY LIGHT RAIN OR
SNOW ON SUNDAY NIGHT. NO TRAVEL IMPACTS ARE EXPECTED AT THIS
TIME.
