A chance for thunderstorms returns late tonight. Heavy rainfall and strong to severe storms are both possible. The severe threat will be mainly focused in areas from Poplar Bluff, Missouri, to Mount Carmel, Illinois, late tonight. Moderate to major flooding will continue on many area rivers, but water levels will continue to fall through the weekend and into next week. Refer to the flood warnings and statements for more details. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday Moderate to major flooding will continue on many area rivers, but water levels will continue to fall through the weekend into next week. Refer to the flood warnings and statements for more details. Another chance of severe storms will be Sunday afternoon and evening when a heightened concern for severe thunderstorms may develop.
