...FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 1215 PM CDT THIS
AFTERNOON FOR CHRISTIAN, SOUTHERN MUHLENBERG, TODD AND TRIGG
COUNTIES...

At 946 AM CDT, Emergency management reported thunderstorms had
produced heavy rain and significant widespread flooding including
water rescues and evacuations in the Hopkinsville downtown area.
Between 5 and 8 inches of rain have fallen. Even though rain has
temporarily ended, flooding remains ongoing and residents are urged
to stay away from the flood waters in the downtown Hopkinsville area.

HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing
         flash flooding.

SOURCE...Emergency management reported.

IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams,
         urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses.

Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Hopkinsville, Oak Grove, Cadiz, Elkton, Fort Campbell, Energy Lake
  Campground, Wranglers Campground, Woodlands Nature Station, Land
  Between The Lakes Area, Golden Pond Visitors Center, Turkey Bay,
  Clarksville, Guthrie, Pembroke, Crofton, Weir, Canton, Dunmor,
  Rockcastle and Trenton.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
