At 946 AM CDT, Emergency management reported thunderstorms had produced heavy rain and significant widespread flooding including water rescues and evacuations in the Hopkinsville downtown area. Between 5 and 8 inches of rain have fallen. Even though rain has temporarily ended, flooding remains ongoing and residents are urged to stay away from the flood waters in the downtown Hopkinsville area. HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing flash flooding. SOURCE...Emergency management reported. IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses. Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
