.DISCUSSION...
Issued at 100 PM CDT Tue Oct 1 2024

A cold front is making passage. Satellite reveals the progress
of the dry air it will bring in behind it...dew points in the
upper 30s across northern MO are headed this way. We`ll finally
scour these clouds out as we drop into the 40s tonight, with
sunshine and coolish 70s tmrw, before we warm back up with some
80s returning to the forecast for the week`s end.

It looks like the formerly watched for Friday front is
increasingly ambiguous, kinda washing out upon approach now. So
we`ll await the weekend trof and its passage, which drives a
more robust but still dry cold front across the FA Sunday night.
It does something very similar...taking dew points in the 60s
and drying them down into the 40s, or near 50F. And temps cool
back into the 70s with another high pressure system building
across the Ohio Valley. The tropical interactions we`ve been
watching appear to stay there, so we`re now looking at an
extended dry/seasonal pattern that may well hold into/thru much
of next week.

.AVIATION /18Z TAFS THROUGH 18Z WEDNESDAY/...
Issued at 100 PM CDT Tue Oct 1 2024

SCT-BKN low VFR bases will eventually scour as a cold front
completes its passage and drier air works across the flight
terminals. The cold/dry air advection should limit fog potential
tonight...as high pressure works in/across the area thru the day
tmrw.
