.SYNOPSIS...
A more tranquil weather pattern is expected this weekend and most
of next week as high pressure builds into the Pacific Northwest.
Weak disturbances passing through will bring small chances for
mountain showers and passing clouds mid to late-week.

.DISCUSSION...

Today through next Saturday: Will be a relatively quiet week
ahead with broad southwest flow now in place behind the strong
cold front from yesterday. Upper level ridge will strengthen in
the northwestern United States leaving the INW mostly dry through
Monday. Temperatures all week will be in the 60s to 70s (perhaps
80 degrees in the L-C valley tomorrow through Monday). Models show
a couple front passages through the week... a weak one Tuesday
into Wednesday that will bring shower chances to the Cascades and
mostly dry front passage Wednesday into Thursday. Clusters also
show a wave Friday but are only generating light precipitation
with it. Not expecting any wind events associated with these front
passages.

80% of ensemble clusters suggest the return to a strong ridge
pattern by next weekend, bringing more mild and dry conditions.

.AVIATION...
00Z TAFS: VFR conditions will prevail. The northeast washington
and north Idaho valleys may see fog into Sunday morning again, but
confidence is low.

FORECAST CONFIDENCE AND/OR ALTERNATE SCENARIOS: The
chances for a fog/stratus to return Sunday morning the TAF sites
remain low, although spotty IFR conditions may be found in the
sheltered valleys near the BC border. /rfox
