At 339 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated a couple of lines of strong
thunderstorms, capable of producing winds to around 30 knots. The
the more organized line of thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from near Norwalk Islands to near Smithtown Bay to 7 nm
south of Fire Island Inlet to 6 nm southeast of Shark River Reef,
moving east at 35 knots.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Mariners can expect gusty winds to around 30 knots, locally higher
waves, and lightning strikes. Boaters should seek safe harbor
immediately until these storms pass.
