...DROUGHT MONITOR IMPROVES WITH A POSITIVE OUTLOOK FOR IOWA...

.SYNOPSIS:

After a very dry September and October, widespread rainfall of
150-300% of November norms brought improved conditions to eastern
Nebraska and western Iowa. Now 78% of this forecast area is
considered to be in a "moderate drought" with only 16% considered
worse. Six weeks ago, 79% of the area was considered worse than
"moderate drought".
