...BLIZZARD WARNING NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL MIDNIGHT AKST TONIGHT...

* WHAT...Blizzard conditions. Falling snow combined with strong
  north winds gusting up to 60 mph is resulting in blizzard
  conditions with visibility down to 1/4 mile.

* WHERE...Atigun Pass.

* WHEN...Until midnight AKST tonight.

* IMPACTS...Extremely dangerous travel conditions and
  dangerously cold wind chills as low as 40 below zero causing
  frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 10 minutes.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Blowing snow is resulting in large snow
  drifts. Alaska DOT has reported multiple tractor trailers
  stuck along the Dalton Highway at Atigun Pass.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Blizzard Warning means severe winter weather conditions are
expected or occurring. Falling and blowing snow with strong winds
and poor visibilities are likely. This will lead to whiteout
conditions, making travel extremely difficult.
