.DISCUSSION...
Temperatures will remain warm across much of the North Slope
through the week, with temperatures in the mid to upper 70s with
some areas reaching 80. Minimum RH values will be in the 30s, but
some valleys in the northern foothills of the Brooks Range could
see some upper 20s. Northeast winds will pick up today across the
Coastline and Eastern Arctic Plains with winds of 10 to 20 mph
with gusts of 20 to 30 mph. Isolated thunderstorms are expected
today in the Eastern Brooks Range. Wednesday these thunderstorm
chances will move West, and will affect the Far Western Brooks
Range and Western Arctic Plains. This area would include Red Dog
Mine and north towards Point Lay.
