.DISCUSSION...A ridge of high pressure extends from the Atlantic
to across the northern Gulf of America waters with moderate to
fresh return flow near the site, and significant wave heights of 4
to 6 ft. A stationary front is along and just inland of the Gulf
coast states from the Florida Panhandle to southern Louisiana to
SE Texas. Winds are forecast to gradually diminish late morning
through this evening as the pressure gradient weakens due to the
front. At the same time, seas will subside slightly due to the
weakening winds. The front north of the site may support the
development of local showers and thunderstorms, more likely by Thu
into Thu night. Regardless of any showers and thunderstorms cloudy
skies are forecast today into the evening, becoming partly cloudy
late tonight.
