beyond 20 nm to 250 nm offshore, including south of Georges Bank
from 1000 fm to 250 nm offshore.

Conditions given represent the highest within that period.

Seas given as significant wave height, which is the average
height of the highest 1/3 of the waves. Individual waves may be
more than twice the significant wave height.

Locally higher winds and seas can be expected in and near tstms.

.SYNOPSIS FOR MID ATLC WATERS...A series of surface troughs will
move E and SE across the N and central waters today while high
pressure builds E across the S waters. High pressure will move NE
across the N and central waters tonight, lying across the area
Sat. The high shifts E late Sat night and Sun. A warm front
develops along the SE coast Sat night, then lifts N through the
central and N waters Sun as a cold front approaches from the W.
The cold front will move SE across the N and central waters Sun
night through Mon, then stall over the S waters Mon night as high
pressure builds into the N waters. Low pressure will develop
along the stationary front inland over the SE U.S. Mon night,
with the low intensifying while lifting NE from near the Outer
Banks to near Georges Bank Tue and Tue night. A cold front
extending S from the low will move quickly E and SE across the
waters Tue night. Mariners should monitor later forecasts for
possible avoidance from the intensifying low.
