.SYNOPSIS FOR NEW ENGLAND WATERS...The center of Hurricane Erin
is expected to track NE through the outer Mid-Atlantic waters
today into early Fri, remaining S and then SE of the waters. Erin
will then move farther away from the area over the N Atlantic
late Fri into Sat. Long period S swell from Hurricane Erin will
continue through tonight before backing to the SE and E by later
Fri and Fri night. A high pressure ridge will move E across the
waters Fri night and Sat, then shift E of the area Sat night into
Sun. A cold front will gradually approach the waters from the W
late Sun night, then move E across the area Mon and Mon night as
developing low pressure tracks NE along the front. For more
information on Hurricane Erin, please closely monitor the latest
forecasts from the National Hurricane Center.
