New England continental shelf and slope waters from 25 nm
offshore to the Hague Line, except to 1000 fm south of New
England.

Conditions given represent the highest within that period.

Seas given as significant wave height, which is the average
height of the highest 1/3 of the waves. Individual waves may be
more than twice the significant wave height.

Locally higher winds and seas can be expected in and near tstms.

The National Weather Service is accepting public comments until
July 29 2024 on a proposal to replace feet with meters when
describing seas in a variety of National Marine Center text
and graphical products for the Offshore and High Seas Areas

.SYNOPSIS FOR NEW ENGLAND WATERS...A warm front across the E
portions will lift NE of the waters by this afternoon. A cold
front will approach the waters from the NW late today and move
across the waters tonight and Mon. It will then become stationary
well S and E of the waters Mon night and Tue. Low pressure will
develop along the front early Mon, then move NE along the front
Mon into Mon night. High pressure will build SE across the waters
Tue through Wed, then shift SE of the waters Wed night through
Thu night as a weak cold front or low pressure trough approaches
the coast and moves offshore.

Gulf of Maine to the Hague Line

.TODAY...SW winds 20 to 25 kt. Seas 5 to 7 ft. Tstms, showers
and fog with vsby 1 nm or less.
.TONIGHT...W to SW winds 15 to 25 kt. Seas 4 to 7 ft. Scattered
showers and tstms with vsby 1 nm or less.
.MON...N winds 5 to 15 kt. Seas 3 to 6 ft.
.MON NIGHT...N winds 10 to 20 kt, becoming 10 to 15 kt. Seas
3 to 5 ft.
.TUE...N winds 5 to 15 kt, becoming variable. Seas 3 to 6 ft.
.TUE NIGHT...W to SW winds less than 10 kt, becoming W to NW.
