New England continental shelf and slope waters from 25 nm
offshore to the Hague Line, except to 1000 fm south of New
England.

Conditions given represent the highest within that period.

Seas given as significant wave height, which is the average
height of the highest 1/3 of the waves. Individual waves may be
more than twice the significant wave height.

Locally higher winds and seas can be expected in and near tstms.

.SYNOPSIS FOR NEW ENGLAND WATERS...Strong, broad low pressure
over the Canadian Maritimes will move SE today and tonight as
weak high pressure builds E into the area. A surface trough or
two associated with the broad low will also move SE across the
waters. High pressure diminishes over the area late tonight, as
low pressure emerging off of the Carolinas late tonight and early
Sat rapidly intensifies and moves just S and SE of the waters
through Sat night. Mariners planning voyages off of the east
coast should monitor forecasts and prepare for avoidance. The low
will move well out into the N Atlantic Sun, with high pressure
gradually building E over the waters Sun through early Mon. Weak
low pressure should develop along a surface trough in the Gulf of
Maine Mon, and the low will linger through Tue while gradually
intensifying and then shifting E and SE Tue night.

Gulf of Maine to the Hague Line
