Locally higher winds and seas can be expected in and near tstms. .SYNOPSIS FOR NEW ENGLAND WATERS...High pressure over the area will gradually shift NE tonight into early Sun as a coastal low moves N just offshore of the SE U.S. The low will strengthen and expand with a secondary low forming as it moves N. The secondary low will be centered offshore of the Virginia Capes by late Sun into Sun night. This broad, complex low will move very slowly E from the Virginia Capes across the outer Mid-Atlantic waters Sun night through Tue night, then finally move E of the area Wed. Mariners should monitor later forecasts on the coastal system as this will be a long duration event for the east coast, and impactful to the mariner. A cold front will approach from the NW Tue night into early Wed, then move offshore late Wed into Wed night. The front will move E of the area Thu with high pressure building in across the waters through Thu night.
