A surface trough or two associated with the broad low will also move SE across the waters. High pressure diminishes over the area late tonight, as low pressure emerging off of the Carolinas late tonight and early Sat rapidly intensifies and moves just S and SE of the waters through Sat night. Mariners planning voyages off of the east coast should monitor forecasts and prepare for avoidance. The low will move well out into the N Atlantic Sun, with high pressure gradually building E over the waters Sun through early Mon. Weak low pressure should develop along a surface trough in the Gulf of Maine Mon, and the low will linger through Tue while gradually intensifying and then shifting E and SE Tue night.
