New England continental shelf and slope waters from 25 nm
offshore to the Hague Line, except to 1000 fm south of New
England.

Conditions given represent the highest within that period.

Seas given as significant wave height, which is the average
height of the highest 1/3 of the waves. Individual waves may be
more than twice the significant wave height.

Locally higher winds and seas can be expected in and near tstms.

The National Weather Service is accepting public comments until
July 29 2024 on a proposal to replace feet with meters when
describing seas in a variety of National Marine Center text
and graphical products for the Offshore and High Seas Areas

.SYNOPSIS FOR NEW ENGLAND WATERS...A cold front near the coast
will move E across the waters tonight and Mon. It will then
become stationary well S and E of the waters Mon night and Tue.
Developing low pressure will move NE along the front tonight into
Mon night. High pressure will build SE across the waters Tue
through Wed, then shift SE of the waters Wed night through Thu
night as a weak cold front approaches the coast and moves
offshore. The front will stall briefly over the waters early Fri
then return N as a warm front later Fri and Fri night.

Gulf of Maine to the Hague Line

.TONIGHT...W to SW winds 10 to 20 kt. Seas 4 to 7 ft. Areas of
fog and rain with vsby 1 nm or less.
.MON...N winds 10 to 20 kt, diminishing to 5 to 15 kt. Seas 3 to
6 ft. Scattered showers. Areas of fog with vsby 1 nm or less.
.MON NIGHT...N winds 5 to 15 kt. Seas 3 to 5 ft.
.TUE...N winds 5 to 10 kt, becoming variable. Seas 3 to 5 ft.
.TUE NIGHT...W to NW winds less than 10 kt. Seas 3 to 4 ft.
.WED...Variable winds less than 10 kt, becoming S. Seas 3 to
4 ft.
.WED NIGHT...S winds 5 to 15 kt, becoming S to SW 10 to 20 kt.
