Marine Weather HF Voice Broadcast for the Gulf of America

Seas given as significant wave height, which is the average
height of the highest 1/3 of the waves. Individual waves may be
more than twice the significant wave height.

.SYNOPSIS...The pressure gradient between a strong high pressure
over the Mississippi Valley and a frontal trough in the SE Gulf
is resulting in moderate to fresh NE to E winds over much of the
basin. Strong winds and rough seas are found in the NE Gulf and
this will continue into Sat. Conditions will improve across the
Gulf region late Sat and especially Sun as a non-tropical low
pressure lifts north over the W Atlantic and a ridge builds
across the basin. The ridge will sustain mainly a gentle to
moderate anticyclonic flow and moderate seas into early next
week.
