Southeast Gulf of America

.SYNOPSIS...A cold front extending from Tampa Bay west-
southwestward to NE Mexico along 24N is moving slowly southward
across the Gulf with active showers and thunderstorms ahead of
it. The front will move SE and is expected to extend from the
Florida Straits to near Cabo Rojo, Mexico tonight, and then exit
the Gulf to the southeast by Fri morning. Scattered showers and
thunderstorms will continue along and ahead of the cold front.
Fresh to strong NE winds will follow in the wake of the cold
front, with conditions improving Fri night through Sat. Fresh to
strong return flow will set up in the NW Gulf Fri night and Sat,
ahead of the next front. This next cold front will emerge off
the Texas coast Sat night and meander slowly southeastward
across the NW Gulf Sun through Mon.

.TODAY...N to NE winds 15 to 20 kt. Seas 4 to 6 ft. Scattered
showers.
.TONIGHT...N to NE winds 20 to 25 kt. Seas 6 to 9 ft. Scattered
showers.
.FRI...N to NE winds 20 to 25 kt. Seas 7 to 10 ft in NW to N
swell.
.FRI NIGHT...NE winds 20 to 25 kt. Seas 6 to 9 ft.
.SAT...NE to E winds 15 to 20 kt. Seas 5 to 7 ft.
.SAT NIGHT...E winds 15 to 20 kt. Seas 4 to 6 ft.
.SUN...E winds 10 to 15 kt. Seas 4 to 6 ft.

Within 200 nm east of the coast of Florida

.SYNOPSIS...The pressure gradient between a 1031 mb high over
the central Atlantic and low pressure across the SW Caribbean
will  sustain fresh E-NE winds south of 22N and in the approach
to the  Windward Passage through tonight before diminishing on
Fri. A new  cold front has emerged off of the NE Florida coast
this morning,   followed by fresh N winds. The cold front will
move southeastward and extend from 31N72W to the Florida Straits
tonight, from  31N63W through the central Bahamas by Fri night,
and then  dissipate from 31N59W the NW Bahamas by Sun morning. A
tight  pressure gradient in the wake of the front will produce
increasing NE winds across much of the forecast area Sat,
gradually diminishing from west to east Sun.

of 27N. Seas 3 to 6 ft. Scattered showers.
.TONIGHT...S of 27N, N winds 5 to 10 kt, becoming N to NE 15 to
20 kt after midnight. N of 27N, NW to N winds 15 to 20 kt. Seas
5 to 8 ft. Scattered showers.
.FRI...N to NE winds 20 to 25 kt S of 27N, and N 15 to 20 kt N of
27N. Seas 5 to 8 ft.
.FRI NIGHT...NE winds 20 to 25 kt S of 27N, and NE 15 to 20 kt N
of 27N. Seas 4 to 6 ft.
