.SYNOPSIS...Mariners should use caution in and near any strong
thunderstorms, which can produce very gusty winds and very rough
seas. As high pressure continues over the S waters, a slow-moving
cold front will remain along or near the coast of the N and
central waters through Thu, with a trough ahead of the front over
the waters tonight into Thu. High pressure to the S shifts E Thu
as the front to the N moves SE late Thu through Fri, eventually
stalling over the central waters. Meanwhile, another trough
develops over the far S waters Thu night, and weak low pressure
should form along the trough on Fri. The front should move back N
as a weak warm front Fri night and Sat as high pressure builds
over the N and central waters. High pressure should then continue
there through early next week except for a surface trough along
and near the coast. To the S, low pressure should meander off of
the SE coast through early next week. The low has the potential
to organize into a tropical or subtropical depression by later in
the week or over the weekend. Please monitor the latest
information from the National Hurricane Center.
