Spot Forecast for 2025 Wilder Grasslands Rx Burn...CALIFORNIA STATE PARKS
National Weather Service San Francisco CA
613 PM PDT Mon Oct 6 2025

Forecast is based on ignition time of 1000 PDT on October 07.
If conditions become unrepresentative, contact the National Weather
Service.

.DISCUSSION...The marine layer and coastal stratus remain the most
challenging part of this forecast. This evening, as of writing this
discussion, low coastal clouds hover near the burn site. Looking at
observations just to the south, and about 500 feet lower, the marine
layer held its influence today (Monday), keeping conditions cool and
moist. But looking west-ish, at about 700 feet, the forecast was similar
to what was expected though on the cooler end of the temperature forecast.
With that being said, tweaked Tuesday`s forecast to have a bit more of a
stretch. Should the stratus hold and not give way to any light easterly
winds this evening, cooler temperatures, closer to the low to mid 70s will
be possible with min RH values perhaps only falling into the 55-59% range.
Should the stratus not hold or not be as expansive, the possibility for
a warmer and drier forecast is possible. After that, more seasonable
weather is on tap Tue night into Wed as onshore flow returns bringing
near excellent recovery and cooler temperatures.
