883 FNUS76 KMTR 011406 FWSMTR Spot Forecast for Knob II RX...Marin County Fire Department National Weather Service San Francisco CA 706 AM PDT Tue Jul 1 2025 Forecast is based on ignition time of 0600 PDT on July 01. If conditions become unrepresentative, contact the National Weather Service. .DISCUSSION...The marine layer is expected to hover around 1500ft over the next day or so, which has allowed stratus to intrude inland and around the burn site this morning. Clouds should mix out by mid to late morning leading to clear skies for the afternoon. Depending on this timing, we could see temperatures on the warmer end, in the 80s vs the 70s, and minRH values on the lower end perhaps near 35 to 40 percent if clouds erode quickly. If they take a touch longer we could see temperatures closer to the upper 70s to low 80s and minRH values closer to 45 to 50 percent. In addition to that, we should see a brief uptick in winds during the afternoon to early evening hours where gusts up to 20 mph are possible. The marine layer should bring a blanket of clouds again tonight and lead to very good to near excellent recovery. .TODAY... Sky/weather.........Cloudy becoming mostly sunny by mid to late morning.
