A weak weather system will pass over the region on Monday, which will bring increasing clouds and increasing west to northwest winds. No rain is currently expected at the burn site as moisture tapers off quickly over southern Monterey County. The main feature with this system for the burn site will be the increasing west to northwest winds throughout the day, likely peaking during the later afternoon and evening hours. Peak gusts at the surface will likely be around 25 to 30 mph, though a few gusts may make it to 35 mph. Winds slowly decrease overnight and into Tuesday as the system exits the region. Another cooler day, similar to Monday, is expected where highs peak in the upper 60s to low 70s while minRH bottoms out around 29-33 percent. Looking to Wednesday, the pattern begins to shift.
