If conditions become unrepresentative, contact the National Weather Service. .DISCUSSION... Low clouds have filled the Monterey Bay and have slithered inland with surrounding observations showing ceilings ranging from 300 ft to 700 ft. Fog has not been reported at Santa Rosa, Fort Ord, or Watsonville as of this morning, but down near Monterey where clouds have been lower, visibility has faltered to 1SM. This will remain possible for the next couple of hours, with fog chances decreasing as we move later in the morning. Light winds of less than 5mph will increase to roughly 5 to 10 mph and take on a westerly component. This may help disperse cloud cover some, but could also keep it socked in right along the coast. Tonight, the threat for fog and stratus returns, as winds ease and moist conditions remain in place This could lead for another cool and cloudy day on Saturday, with the forecast being on repeat for winds. .TODAY...
