.DISCUSSION...An approaching low pressure system will bring rain
and the chance for thunderstorms to the area of interest. On
Monday, winds will initially build from the southwest in the
morning, turning to the northwest late in the afternoon as the
main rain band passes the forecast location. Estimated time of the
wind shift is around 2 to 4 PM. Wind speeds in the lower
elevations top out around 16 mph gusting to 22 mph, but the
ridgelines will be significantly breezier with isolated gusts of
up to 40 mph possible in favored locations. Rain showers and
thunderstorm chances will continue through Tuesday, with warmer
and drier conditions beginning on Wednesday.
