ACROSS GAPS AND PASSES...
.DISCUSSION...Gusty NW winds have begun to ramp up this afternoon
and will continue through Monday as a weak system moves inland
just to our north. Good moisture across much of the region with a
reinforced marine layer thanks to the robust onshore flow.
However, areas above about 2,000 feet will see very limited
overnight recovery, and far inland areas will be very dry during
the afternoon hours. Fortunately the strongest gusts will occur
mostly across our favored gaps, passes, and valleys, especially
Altamont Pass and the Salinas Valley. Wind begins to ease later in
the day Monday.
Note : All winds are 20-foot Winds Unless otherwise specified.
