...Near critical fire weather concerns Monday through Thursday as
light offshore flow develops and above average temperatures allow
fuels to dry to critical levels...
.DISCUSSION...Expect tonight to be the last night widespread cool
temperatures and good humidity recoveries before a much hotter
and drier pattern settles into the region for the first half of
the work week. Well above average high temperatures with a mostly
eroded marine layer are expected and will make for widespread
warm and dry conditions. High temperatures and light offshore
winds in the far interior areas will bring the minimum RH into the
low teens. Overnight cooling will be limited in the interior
areas as well as RH recoveries. Winds will remain light to
moderate, and may flip to onshore in the afternoons. As such, we
are not expecting to hit Red Flag criteria. Onshore wind will
return in the second half of the week, gradually decreasing fire
weather concerns.
