.DISCUSSION...
Idaho (Zones 102 and 103): Isolated thunderstorms capable of gusty outflow
winds are anticipated this evening, possibly continuing through the night. A red flag
warning has been issued for zone 102 on Wednesday as hot and dry conditions will be
coupled with gusty winds. Isolated afternoon and evening thunderstorms are possible again,
with gusty outflow winds. Thursday will be cooler and cloudy, before another weekend warming
and drying trend.
Northwest MT (Zones 104 and 105): There is a slight chance for a thunderstorm to
develop late this evening into Wednesday morning. Wednesday will be
slightly cooler, while winds will trend stronger. Elevated
fire weather conditions are anticipated Wednesday. Cooler and wet conditions are
expected by Thursday, followed by a warming and drying trend this weekend.
West Central MT (Zones 106, 107 and 108): There is a slight chance for a thunderstorm to
develop late this evening into Wednesday morning. Wednesday will be
slightly cooler, while winds will trend stronger. Elevated
fire weather conditions are anticipated Wednesday. Cooler and cloudy conditions are
expected by Thursday, followed by a warming and drying trend this weekend.
Southwest MT (Zones 109, 110 and 111): Isolated to scattered thunderstorms this afternoon
and evening will be capable of gusty outflow winds up to 50 mph.
Slightly cooler conditions will occur Wednesday, but expect an uptick in
winds and another round of afternoon thunderstorms. Elevated fire
weather conditions are a concern Wednesday. Thursday becomes cooler with
a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms, followed by a warming and
drying trend this weekend.
