Idaho (Zones 102 and 103): Hot and dry through early next week, with poor overnight recoveries continuing under high pressure. Heat advisories remain in effect for low elevations with highs reaching above 100. Dense smoke and stable conditions will delay inversion breaks in the Nez Perce-Clearwater NF. Light north-northwest winds this afternoon, shift back to easterly this evening. Humidity will trend higher late Monday into the middle of next week as monsoon moisture arrives, with increasing chances for showers and thunderstorms capable of producing wetting rains. Northwest MT (Zones 104 and 105): Hot and dry through early next week. Easterly winds will continue into early next week. Gusts will once again increase to 20-40 mph this evening across ridgetops in the Flathead NF. Thermal belts will strengthen each night into Tuesday. Wetting rain chances and higher humidity arrive late Wednesday into Thursday. West Central MT (Zones 106, 107 and 108): Hot and dry through early next week. A northerly wind shift is expected by mid-afternoon, before east winds return this evening. Gusts will increase again this evening, reaching 25-35 mph across midslopes and ridgetops, particularly in the Lolo NF. Thermal belts will strengthen each night into Tuesday. Humidity will gradually trend higher late Tuesday into the middle of next week as monsoon moisture arrives, with increasing chances for showers and thunderstorms capable of producing wetting rains. Southwest MT (Zones 109, 110 and 111): Warm and dry through Monday. Northeasterly winds will continue into Monday with gusts 15-25 mph in the afternoon and evenings. Thermal belts continue each night into Tuesday morning.
