.DISCUSSION...

Idaho (Zones 102 and 103): Increasing southerly component of winds
today with mid-high level clouds during the morning hours. A brief
clearing before noon followed by a good chance for showers and
thunderstorms after noon and into the evening. Some stronger storms may
put down 35-45 mph gusts, briefly heavy rainfall, and even some small
hail. Colder air starts to filter in midday Sunday. Winds becoming more
north-northwest with another round of scattered showers and
thunderstorms. Snow levels lower to less than 6,000 ft MSL by Monday
morning as shower activity gradually diminishes and shifts eastward.
Another storm system moves into the area by Tuesday morning out of the
northwest reinforcing cool and showery conditions. Then calmer, drier,
and warmer conditions build back in under a ridge of high pressure
starting Wednesday afternoon and lasting through Friday.

Northwest MT (Zones 104 and 105): Increasing southerly component of
winds today with mid-high level clouds increasing through the day. A
small chance for isolated-scattered showers and thunderstorms in the
afternoon and evening. A few isolated stronger showers may put down
25-40 mph gusts, and briefly heavy rainfall. Colder air starts to filter
in overnight Sunday into early Monday with winds becoming more north-
northwest and a better chance for scattered showers and thunderstorms.
Snow levels lower to less than 5,000 ft MSL by Monday morning as shower

afternoon and lasting through Friday.
