.DISCUSSION...
Idaho (Zones 102, 103): Today will be the hottest, driest day of the
week with humidity in the valleys dropping into the low to mid teens.
Tomorrow will be similar but a few degrees cooler and humidity starts to
rise with moisture coming into the area. That moisture will bring a
chance of thunderstorms Wednesday. Independence Day and the weekend will
see near average temperatures, showers and thunderstorms.
Northwest MT (Zones 104, 105): Today will be the hottest, driest day of
the week with humidity in the valleys dropping into the low to mid
teens. Tomorrow will be similar but a few degrees cooler and humidity
starts to rise with moisture coming into the area. That moisture will
bring a chance of thunderstorms Wednesday, especially along the
Continental Divide. Independence Day and the weekend will see near
average temperatures, showers and thunderstorms.
West Central MT (Zones 106, 107, 108): Today will be the hottest, driest
day of the week with humidity in the valleys dropping into the low to
mid teens. Tomorrow will be similar but a few degrees cooler and
humidity starts to rise with moisture coming into the area. That
moisture will bring a chance of thunderstorms Wednesday. These storms
will be capable of gusty outflows 35 to 45 mph and hail. Independence
Day and the weekend will see near average temperatures, showers and
thunderstorms.
Southwest MT (Zones 109, 110, 111): Today will be the hottest, driest
day of the week with humidity dropping into the low to mid teens in the
valleys. Convection develops this afternoon with the potential for
outflow winds 35 to 45 mph, and isolated gusts over 60 mph. Wednesday
will see another round of potentially severe thunderstorms. Independence
Day and the weekend will see near average temperatures, showers and
thunderstorms. The mode of convection will change Friday to add the
threat of flash flooding, especially on recent burn scars.
