This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of southwest North
Carolina...east Tennessee and southwest Virginia.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight

Accumulating snowfall is expected today and tonight. Light
accumulations are expected in the lower elevations north of the
Interstate 40 corridor, while higher elevations of southwest
Virginia and the east Tennessee mountains will see a significant
snow. In addition to the snow, extremely cold air will move into
the region late tonight, with wind chill values dipping below zero
across much of the area.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Monday through Saturday

Dangerously cold air will remain through much of this week. Many
locations will likely see several days of sub-freezing
temperatures, and overnight wind chills approaching zero degrees.
