Light accumulations are expected in the lower elevations north of the Interstate 40 corridor, while higher elevations of southwest Virginia and the east Tennessee mountains will see a significant snow. In addition to the snow, extremely cold air will move into the region late tonight, with wind chill values dipping below zero across much of the area.
