.DISCUSSION...

The warming trend continues with dry weather through the weekend.
Southwest winds begin to increase on Friday into the weekend ahead
of a low pressure system across the Great Plains. This combination
of dry air and increasing southwesterly winds will result in an
elevated fire danger across the region on Friday afternoon. Rain
chances increase across the Southern Appalachians next Monday.
