...WIND ADVISORY AND HIGH WIND WARNING IN EFFECT FOR THE EAST TENNESSEE
 MOUNTAIN ZONES THROUGH TONIGHT...

Strong winds are expected in the mountains and adjacent foothills
late this afternoon, overnight, and into tomorrow morning. Wind
gusts up to 65 mph are possible across the mountains and wind
prone foothills along the East Tennessee Mountains. Winds will
weaken after daybreak. Showers and a few embedded thunderstorms
will move into the area late tonight and continue through tomorrow
morning. A few heavy downpours are possible, but most places are
forecast to see around an inch of rainfall. The bulk of the rain
will be exiting to the east by tomorrow afternoon but a few
showers will linger into tomorrow night, especially in southwest
Virginia. A period of drier and calmer weather will commence
thereafter.
