Fire Weather Planning Forecast for East Tennessee...Southwest
Virginia...and Extreme Southwest North Carolina
National Weather Service Morristown TN
225 PM EDT Fri Jul 11 2025

.DISCUSSION...

Hot and humid conditions continue with isolated to scattered
afternoon showers and thunderstorms each day. The highest chances
for daily convection will be across the Cumberland Plateau, and
mountains of east TN, southwest VA, and southwest NC. Any location
that sees repeated convection on a given day, will be a risk for
isolated flooding.
