A winter storm system will move across the Tennessee valley and
southern Appalachians today through early Saturday morning. Most
areas will see increasing coverage of snow today with a mixture of
sleet and freezing possible. Windy conditions developing across the
far east Tennessee mountains and foothills this afternoon.

Snow will diminish to snow showers or flurries Saturday.
Temperatures will remain well below seasonal normals through the
weekend.
