...FLOOD WARNING FOR A DAM FLOODGATE RELEASE NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL 730
PM EDT TUESDAY...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by upstream dam release continues.

* WHERE...A portion of east Tennessee, including the following
  counties, Knox and Sevier.

* WHEN...Until 730 PM EDT Tuesday.

* IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying
  and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 924 PM EDT, an upstream floodgate release is expected to
    continue to cause flooding and evacuations will continue as
    deemed necessary by local emergency personnel in low-lying
    communities and neighborhoods along the French Broad River.
    If you live in a low-lying area near the river and feel your
    residence may be threatened, please self-evacuate. Continue
    to follow guidance from local law enforcement, fire/rescue
    agencies, and emergency management staff.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Stay away or be swept away. River banks and culverts can become
unstable and unsafe.
