...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in
Tennessee...

  French Broad River Near Newport TN affecting Jefferson and Cocke
  Counties.

For the French Broad River...including Newport TN...

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

...FLOOD WARNING NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL LATE THIS AFTERNOON...

* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...French Broad River near Newport TN.

* WHEN...Until late this afternoon.

* IMPACTS...At 10.0 feet, Agricultural land near the gage on Highway
  321 is flooded. Water begins entering a campground along Hwy
  25/70E.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 1:00 AM EDT Monday the stage was 11.2 feet.
  - Bankfull stage is 10.0 feet.
  - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
    ending at 1:00 AM EDT Monday was 15.8 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage
    late this morning and continue falling to 6.2 feet Friday
    evening.
  - Flood stage is 10.0 feet.
