...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT DELTA...NORTHEASTERN MENOMINEE
AND SOUTHEASTERN MARQUETTE COUNTIES THROUGH 930 PM EDT/830 PM CDT/...

At 840 PM EDT/740 PM CDT/, Doppler radar was tracking strong
thunderstorms along a line extending from 6 miles northeast of Watson
to near Hermansville. Movement was east at 30 mph.

HAZARD...Winds in excess of 30 mph and penny size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Escanaba, Gladstone, Rapid River, Powers, Rock, Hermansville, La
Branche, U.S. 41 between Trenary and Rapid River, Ford River, Wilson,
Spalding, Bark River, Brampton, Whitney, Ensign, Cornell, St.
Nicholas, Perkins, Chicago Lake, and Hyde.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
