...EXTREME COLD WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 4 AM MONDAY TO NOON CST

* WHAT...For the Cold Weather Advisory, very cold wind chills as low
  as 34 below. For the Extreme Cold Warning, dangerously cold wind
  chills as low as 43 below expected.

* WHERE...Iron and Gogebic Counties.

* WHEN...For the Cold Weather Advisory, until 4 AM CST Monday. For
  the Extreme Cold Warning, from 4 AM Monday to noon CST Tuesday.

* IMPACTS...The dangerously cold wind chills as low as 45 below zero
  could cause frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 10 minutes.
  Frostbite and hypothermia will occur if unprotected skin is
  exposed to these temperatures. An extended period of freezing
  temperatures could cause ruptured water pipes.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Dress in layers including a hat, face mask, and gloves if you must
go outside.

To prevent water pipes from freezing; wrap or drain or allow them to
drip slowly.

Drain in-ground sprinkler systems and cover above ground pipes.

Use caution while traveling outside. Wear appropriate clothing, a
hat, and gloves.
